Dennis Hessler first became intrigued with the adventure and profit potential of international trade while traveling around the world in the U.S. Navy. In 1990 he worked with the U.S. Commerce Department's International Trade Administration district office in New York City to produce a video tape for new international traders that became "How to Make $100,000 a Year With Your Own Export Management Company."

In 1992, he started his own company, Spyglass Point Productions, and produced additional video tapes, numerous books, e-books, instructional computer programs and newsletters, all designed to show entrepreneurs how to cash in on the booming global marketplace with a focus on the power of the personal computer. Today his exporting is limited to his own trade information products which have been sold in many countries around the world in addition to the United States. His company has been written up in publications including Entrepreneur, Florida Trend, Opportunity World and others.
